This renovation to an inner city Queenslander aims to enhance the qualities missing in the original house. A new lower room flows onto the garden, maximizing the relationship with the land. The lower level room has a stable climate and cross ventilates. The floor is a heated, super polished concrete slab. The new steel frame is use as a datum, defining old above and new below. The existing floor structure is expressed as a reminder of the days spent playing under a Queenslander.
