For the House for Walker Farm the design strategy was to abstract a basic shed into an off grid, comfortable modern home. The arrival is typically rural, by vehicle, into a courtyard formed by three pavilions. A garage, sleeping wing and living pavilion.
As the weather shifts from heavy rainfall to extended dry spells, the immediate landscape changes, from lush rolling paddocks, to dry and sunburnt grasses. The canopy roof offers protection from rain and provides shade from the glare and heat of drier months.
