A client living in a dense urban environment, may seek an opportunity to find calm in the landscape and to be with family. Virtues of a relaxed outdoor lifestyle and connections to nature form the architectural language for Old Byron Bay Road’s renovation.
The design invites moments of discovery, pause and connection with the landscape —wandering garden paths, crossing thresholds, perching on edges, encountering wildlife and gathering around a fire. These rituals find expression in familiar architectural archetypes—doors, windows, steps, chimneys and courtyards. Together, shaping a dialogue between architecture, landscape and everyday life.
