Our clients love for gardening extends to propagation. The small triangular site resolves a kink in the formal geometry of the Paul Bangay designed garden.
The propagation shed will become part of the gardens, with a screen for planting to grow over so it merges with adjacent the hedges. The screen is made from recycled timber cut at random lengths and the connections are traditional dowel joints, also random lengths. The outcome creates depth & texture in the elevation much like the foliage and shadows of a hedge.
Inside, there is a work bench and a bench to hold propagating trays. The green marble benchtop also provides a place to have a cup of tea, or rest during rain. The shed goes beyond propagation to become a place of beauty, hope and joy.
